Sian is a British designer based in Surrey, United Kingdom. She has a BA in 3D Design specialising in metals and ceramics.

When silver clay came to the market in 1996 it was the perfect medium for her. First developed in Japan and distributed in the US in 96, silver clay took a couple more years to reach UK shores. Sian has been involved in the metal clay community since 1998 when she first got her hands on this wonderful material.

She started teaching with silver clay 20+ years ago and loves to help everyone see the possibilities of metal clay develop right in front of their eyes as they create their unique pieces in class. Whether Sian’s teaching beginners or an advanced masterclass, her teaching style is patient and caring, with a focus on a ‘can do’ style and as much guidance as the individual needs.

Sian also runs a web and graphic design business, alongside creating and selling 3D printed cutters for the metal clay community.
