What’s in the Bottle

Each 20 ml bottle of Better Bond (BB) includes:

• A standard dropper nozzle
• A precision tip
  

How to Switch to the Precision Tip

1. Carefully remove the dropper nozzle insert (avoid damaging the cap or bottle).
2. Remove the white band from the precision tip.
3. Place the small rubber circle onto the bottle neck (where the precision tip will sit).
4. Screw the precision tip onto the bottle.

Basic Use

Better Bond works like glue.

1. Place a small drop on one piece.
2. Attach the second piece.
3. Use gentle pressure for a few seconds to ensure a good bond.
   

Use sparingly — it bonds quickly.

Better Bond can be used:

• On greenware
• On fired pieces joined with fresh clay
• For fired-to-fired joins (with fresh clay)

How to Use

Greenware to Greenware

1. Apply a small amount of Better Bond to one surface.
2. Gently press pieces together.
3. Allow to dry before firing.
   

Unfired to Fired

1. Rough up the fired piece only where the join will be.
2. Apply Better Bond to both the fired piece and the greenware piece.
3. Add a small amount of fresh clay between the two pieces and join.
   

Fired to Fired

1. Rough up both pieces in the join area.
2. Apply Better Bond to both pieces.
3. Place a small amount of fresh clay between the pieces and join.
   

The Many Uses of Better Bond

• Joins metal clay in wet, dry, and fired stages (interchangeable)
• Makes excellent paste
• Makes syringe clay
• Reconstituting powder clays: use 1 drop per 5 grams
• Coat clay before cutting on a Cricut
• Smooth inside rings and greenware edges (use with a healing sponge or smoothing tool)
• Holds embedded stones in place until firing
• Holds embedded bails and components in place with fresh clay until fired
