Camp Metal Clay Certification is a hands-on learning experience for anyone who loves metal clay and wants to grow their skills and opportunities. After completing certification, you can continue advancing through project-based Artisan courses.

Graduates receive an 8% discount on future metal clay purchases from Clay Revolution and a certificate from Sawtooth School for Visual Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This two-session course introduces the essential skills for working with metal clay. You’ll learn techniques such as rolling, texturing, cutting, carving, sculpting, molding, refining, firing, and polishing. Special focus is given to firing, with practice in both torch firing and kiln firing.

Over the course, you’ll create five projects:

• Three wrapped beads

• A pair of earrings with a fireable stone

• A wrapped ring with a fireable stone

• A double-textured pendant with syringe detail

• A sculpted toggle clasp

The class fee includes over $200 in clay and materials (with free shipping for online students).

This course is offered both in-person and online simultaneously. You can choose to attend in person at my studio in South Jordan, UT, or join online via Zoom (link provided after registration) from the comfort of your own workspace. A course recording will also be available for 90 days.
